Top Ten "Must Do's" In Las Vegas

Updated: Jun 18, 2022

Your flights are booked, the hotel is on notice - you're on your way.. There's an abundance of things to do in Las Vegas so we've broken it down to help you make the most of your time in Sin City.

1. Explore the hotels - Vegas is the Mega-Resorts capital of the world. Each hotel is huge, and have many unique attractions, restaurants, bars or things to see. Just go armed with what you want to see & do to save time. Here are some of our favorite things:

2. See a Show - Vegas has a wide variety of shows performing quite literally every night. Whether it's a big name headliner, a Cirque du Soleil show (there are currently 6 on offer), the quintessential magic show or even a free lounge act - Vegas has something to suit every taste.

3. Get Outdoors - Take a break from the craziness of the Strip and breathe in some fresh air. Enjoy a hike at Red Rock, mosey along a trail on horseback or zoom through the desert on an ATV! Just enjoy the stunning surroundings that you maybe didn't know existed so close to the action!

4. Drive an Exotic Car - "Feel the Need; The Need for Speed!" Whether it's a Lamborghini a Ferrari or a Porsche, you can get behind the wheel and speed onto the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and put the pedal to the metal at around 130mph.

5. Have dinner at a "Celebrity Chef" restaurant - There is an over-abundance of Celebrity Chef restaurants in Vegas but the great thing is there's so many, that you don't need to break the bank to eat at one. Sure, some almost require a second mortgage to dine at (and a really long waitlist) but quite a lot don't. Wolfgang Puck and Gordon Ramsay both have 5 restaurants in Vegas and Tom Colicchio has 2. And the food at all of these places is guaranteed to be amazing!

6. Fly in a Helicopter - Take to the skies in a state-of-the-art helicopter for a flight over the Las Vegas Strip, out to Red Rock Canyon, the Valley of Fire or to the Grand Canyon's West Rim. Enjoy bragging rights as you fly through the air for a birds-eye view of the wonderous view below you. Las Vegas is one of the most affordable places to do this.

7. Visit Hoover Dam - It can be tough living in the desert but it would be impossible without the Hoover Dam! This engineering marvel was built back in the 1930's and completed 2 years ahead of schedule & millions under budget! We definitely recommend a visit here - not only is it interesting, but it's an easy, inexpensive half-day trip!

8. Drive the Strip in a convertible - There is definitely a feeling of sensory overload being on the Strip, but you can truly enjoy it from the comfort of a convertible! Take the top down and enjoy the views of the mega hotels! And, if you can't get into a convertible, try a Hop-On Hop-Off tour instead! At least you can enjoy the view without having to worry about traffic!

9. Take in the nightlife - When the lights go down in Vegas, that's a sign that the party's about to start! There's no shortage of top DJ's, celebrity hosts and the latest beats at the hottest of hot clubs.. Pretty much every hotel is ready to out-do the next, so you really can't go wrong. And don't forget, Vegas brings the heat during summer with over the top pool parties!

10. Shop 'til you drop - Shopping is nothing new, however we can't help but brag about the variety of shopping Vegas has in a fairly small area. Two outlets (one at the north and one at the south end of the Strip) as well as shops at the casinos (most notably Forum Shops at Caesars, Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood and Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian), and traditional malls like Fashion Show Mall and Town Square.
