Top Ten Escape Rooms in Las Vegas

Updated: May 28, 2022

Here at Las Vegas Top Ten Tours, we just love escape rooms. They're fun, they get the brain working and they can be really frustrating (we're overthinkers!) We aren't going to give away clues here - they're for you to figure out! Here are our picks for the top ten escape rooms in Las Vegas:

Level of Difficulty: Not Listed, but we give it 7/10

Room Type: Private

Why We Love It: Firstly, Trapped only does private rooms which we really appreciate and prefer. In fact, we will only do private rooms! It may make it a little harder, but it means we earn it when we get out! This room is based on a serial killer, so definitely not one for youngsters, but the puzzles are unique and in keeping with the theme of the room. There is dim lighting, some crawling through small spaces and sinister themes.

Level of Difficulty: Not Listed, but we give it 10/10

Time to Escape: 60 Minutes

Room Type: Private

Why We Love It: This has to be the absolutely hardest room in Las Vegas! We spent over an hour trying to get out and still didn't figure everything out! To be fair, it was one of the first rooms we had done, but I think if we did it again - we still may not get out! The creators of this room did a great job with the theming. I will say, there were some confusing things which held us up (trying to solve things before we had all the clues) but overall this is a great room to tackle!

Level of Difficulty: 3.5/5

Time to Escape: 60 Minutes

Room Type: Public

Why We Love It: This was a really fun room with some cool elements and at least one frustrating one. These are 'next generation' rooms - meaning no locks (key, directional etc) and they rely on electronics and actually solving puzzles to unlock the next set of clues. We highly recommend this room for people that want a slightly easier room to start with, but with all the bells and whistles. One thing to remember in this room - an ice goblet doesn't necessarily look like it's made of ice!

Level of Difficulty: Not Listed, but we give it 8/10

Time to Escape: 60 Minutes

Room Type: Private

Why We Love It: As a follow up room to #9 on the list, this room isn't quite as hard as the first but equally as crazy and creative. One thing to note, one player starts in a confined space, so choose wisely who does that part. This is a little darker than the first 'Asylum' room so we recommend leaving this to the older kids and adults. These rooms are a little off the main tourist path, but well worth the trip!

Time to Escape: 90 Minutes

Room Type: Private

Why We Love It: Each room at Once Upon An Escape is based on a fairy tale and this room encompasses a few of them. This is about the only room in town that allows 90-minutes to escape the room. Your goal is to work through series of puzzles, with a 'spell book' as your guide. Some puzzles were easy to solve without it, others definitely needed it. You also don't need a good knowledge of fairytales to complete or even understand the room.

Level of Difficulty: 4/5

Time to Escape: 60 Minutes

Room Type: Public

Why We Love It: To be honest, we did this game twice. We didn't get out the first time, but we thought it was so great, we wanted to finish it (and we looked like rock stars getting through the first puzzles quite quickly!) Again, this is a 'next generation' room so everything is triggered from solving puzzles. Spoiler alert - this has 2 rooms, but the puzzles are tricky and some are time-consuming, so you have to have your wits about you.

Level of Difficulty: Not Listed, but we give it 7/10

Room Type: Private

Why We Love It: This was a very different kind of Escape Room. The room centers around a large box in the middle of the room with multiple special effects. As you work your way through the puzzles, which need to be done in a specific order, you'll uncover more and more clues and get closer to unlocking secrets of Pandora's Box.

Level of Difficulty: 4/5

Room Type: Public

Why We Love It: This was the first game we played here and the night everything shut down prior to the pandemic shutting everything down. It was definitely a weird 'last night'. The game had a lot of different elements to other rooms we have done and as avid Escape Room players, we appreciate that. There was also a fun way to get from one room to the next!

Level of Difficulty: 9/10

Time to Escape: 60 Minutes

Room Type: Private

Why We Love It: This is currently the newest game that Escapology offers. We have long been fans of their rooms and it's great to see them moving into the next generation with this one. It also seems like they have cornered the market in Vegas on licensed brands. Other rooms include Murder on the Orient Express and Scooby Doo. Star Trek, as expected takes you into space where you have to fix the USS Discovery to ensure the safety of the ship and all the crew.

Level of Difficulty: 4/5

Time to Escape: 45 Minutes

Room Type: Public

Why We Love It: We have actually done this room twice as they reimagined it in early 2022 and we have to say, it's so much better now! You can tell that we prefer the 'next generation' rooms. They are tough but clever and really force you to use your brains! The theming in these rooms are well above par and the props actually work! This is really important when you rely heavily on electronics to trigger clues. Definitely give this a go - you'll feel accomplished once you get out!

Note: When the room is pubic, we will take the risk and go to the location if the rooms are empty. If the room is still empty right before the game is set to start, we'll book it. This way, we still get the private room!
